Our Programs

Resource Collection and Distribution

F.R.E.E. operates an outreach/resource center in Clarkston, GA which collects and distributes donated clothing, furniture, food, toys, diapers, and household items.

Medical, Dental, eyeCare

F.R.E.E. schedules and transports refugees to/from dental, eye care, and medical appointments. We also assist refugees in obtaining eyeglasses.

Community Beautification

F.R.E.E. assists with neighborhood beautification in poverty-stricken areas. This includes painting and apartment repair, ground preparation for garden planting, lawn mowing, and trash cleanup around refugee apartments.

Richard Henderson Scholarship Fund

In loving memory of our dear friend and partner Richard Henderson who passed away on November 22, 2018, we have created a tuition scholarship fund in his name in honor of the many years of service he dedicated to helping those around him. Even before the creation of F.R.E.E., he was active in reaching out a helping hand (always with a word of prayer) to the refugee communities in Clarkston, Stone Mountain, and the rest of the greater Atlanta area. The fund sponsors k-12 students to attend private schools where they can receive individualized attention. Please visit the sponsorship page for more information.

School SuPPort

F.R.E.E. partners with outside groups to provide school supplies, backpacks, shoes, and clothing for our refugee school students.  We also provide tutoring, mentorship opportunities, snacks, transportation to events, and activities for kids in refugee communities both after school and throughout the summer.

one-on-one Help

F.R.E.E. helps refugees with school, job, scholarship, & Medicaid applications. We connect refugees with outside organizations that teach leadership, financial literacy, pregnancy, and health classes. We also teach Adult ESL classes.
